Martina Hoffmann, Visionary Artist
Martina works as a painter and sculptress and is a central figure in contemporary Visionary Art. Her paintings offer the viewer a detailed glimpse into her inner landscapes – imagery that has been inspired by expanded states of consciousness. The Visionary Realism of Martina Hoffmann is decidedly feminine and places the ‘Universal Woman’ in an intimate cosmos. She transcribes her ecstatic experiences but also her subtle reflections on the nature of women in a realistic style which marries the fantastic to the sacred. Hoffmann has also spoken on behalf of visionary art and culture at events at Symposiums, conferences and festivals as well as having taught painting workshops together with her late husband, the Fantastic Realist Robert Venosa, worldwide. Her work has been published in books such as ‘Modern Consciousness Research & Understanding Art’, ‘The Encyclopedia Of Fernal Affairs’, ‘The Divine Spark’ (Graham Hancock, 2014), ‘Mystery School In Hyperspace’ (Graham St. John, 2015), ‘Albert Hofmann und Sein LSD’, ‘The Visionary World of Hansruedi Giger’ by Stanislav Grof, ‘Inner Paths To Outer Space’, ‘Metamorphosis’, ‘True Visions’ ‘Drinking Lightning’, ‘Illuminatus’, ‘One Source, Sacred, ‘The Return Of The Great Goddess’, ‘Noospheres’ and in magazines and publications such as such as ‘Juxtapoz’, ‘Inscape’, Magical Blend, Shaman’s Drum and Nexus, et. al.. Martina Hoffmann has also created original art and photography for numerous CDs as well as book and magazine covers. The artist keeps a home and studio in both, the USA and France. She has exhibited her work since 1985 and is represented in the permanent collection of NAIA Museum, France.
“Your images show an artistry in painting that suffices to produce amazement and admiration for which words fail me.” Dr. Albert Hofmann
