The WVC empowers women who work with plants and re-imagine food systems. Farmers and herbalists help communities connect to the power of the land and attune to the seasons. The WVC supports presentations by women who work with plants and tours of their farms. WVC classes in cooking and canning skills focus on improved access to healthy food and groups that fight food waste. WVC presenters explore links between fermented foods and a healthy microbiome. The WVC also hosts gatherings for women who cultivate, dispense (link to Women and Cannabis Salon) and cook (Recipes From Women and Cannabis Dinner) with cannabis. WVC members have been on the forefront of reform for cannabis laws and support women of color in the cannabis industry.
