The Women's Visionary Congress (WVC) is holding a two-day gathering,
the 3rd annual Shaman Woman, Plant Medicine and Psychedelics Salon,
on November 14th and 15th at the Simon Fraser University Habourfront
Campus in Vancouver, Canada.
The event will begin on Friday, Nov. 14th from 6-9 pm with a community
discussion on "Self Defense and Jedi Practices in the Psychedelic
World" in the Canfor Policy Room. The conversation will examine different
ways that power can be misused in ceremonies with that use plants
as sacraments and
some practical steps that participants can take to protect themselves.
On Saturday, November 15th from 12 - 6 pm we will host a series of speakers at
the Terassen Theatre. Presenters include Connie Carter
PhD, Dr. Donna Dryer, Carolyn Garcia, Elena Andrade,
Eleonora Molnar MA, Annie Oak MS, Lily Kay Ross MDiv,
and Dr. Richard Yensen PhD.
This event is supported by the Canadian Drug Policy Coalition, Canadian
Students for Sensible Drug Policy and VANDU. Tickets are $40 payable at
the door or you can purchase tickets to the event online
